First United Bank & Trust is pleased to announce the ground-breaking for the new Inwood, WV Community Office located at 7736 Winchester Avenue.  The current branch will be razed and replaced with a beautiful, bright and customer-centric, full-service banking office.  The Inwood staff, including Pat Harrison, Community Relationship Manager, will be available throughout the renovations and will continue to blend advanced technology with the traditional personal service customers have come to expect at “my bank”.  During construction, services will continue at the Mobile Community Office which is currently located in the office parking lot, and will remain there until construction of the new branch is complete.  This innovative mobile facility will allow the staff to provide customers with all the latest technologies, conveniences and a complete banking experience, all inside a secure mobile unit.

“We know that people are tech-savvy and want the convenience of mobile and internet banking. But we also realize that we still have many customers who want to see and talk to their bankers,” said Carissa L. Rodeheaver, CEO, Chairman of the Board and President of First United Bank & Trust.  “This is an exciting time and Inwood is the perfect location for our new approach to the banking experience.  We remain true to our traditional banking values while providing customers with the newest technologies and modern conveniences that we have to offer.”

Along with the free on-site parking and convenient night-depository for business clients, the office will include a clear focus on the local community and efficient, faster transactions to serve both consumer and business customers, as well as modern banking technology.  The new technology available to customers will include an advanced ATM with envelope-free deposits, a Discovery Center and beverage bar.  First United is excited about the new Discovery Centers.  This area will allow customers to experience new touchscreens and tablet technologies for themselves or have a banking specialist guide them through any of the new digital tools.  Customers will also be able to enjoy a cool drink or a cup of coffee from the beverage bar while they meet with a highly-trained associate.  These new additions will provide a comfortable environment to enjoy while at First United.

Denise D. Phelps, Market Area President for Berkeley County commented, “We are so excited to bring this new approach to banking at Inwood and will continue our commitment to the Berkeley county area with our three convenient locations.  This renovated office will offer self-service options, as well as personal one-on-one banking options and we provide this while adding and offering new, easy and convenient technology to our community.  The beautiful design also incorporates many comfortable, modern elements for our customers and associates to enjoy.”

The First United Inwood community office mobile lobby hours are Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon.
